Why we built this
In January 2025, my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. By March, he had surgery to remove the tumor, and he started chemo that summer. Nine months later the chemo wasn't working, and we were told we'd reached the end of known treatment - it was time to look into clinical trials.
The trial that would have been best for him was full at our hospital. He joined the waitlist, and his doctors told us to look for trials explore other hospitals — but that was all they could do. My sister and I spent days hunting down accurate trial information, contact information, and enrollment processes for my dad. First we went searching for active trials, looked up keywords for my dad's condition, hunting down contact information on the internet when the doctor or coordinator for the trial didn't have it. Every trial we found led to a separate search just to learn who to contact, which led to a phone call or email, only to learn of a different intake process that required something of us or my dad's doctor. It was a tedious, frustrating, complex process that took way too long and it came at a time when we were low on hope, low on energy, and high on stress. It made me incredibly upset that this was the best anyone could do.
At a time when families are tired and out of hope, taking the steps to find and enroll in a trial shouldn't require a research project, and definitely any kind of "hustle" from anyone.
Our aim is to make what's already out there accessible, and to give you — the patient, or the family and friends supporting the patient on this hard journey — clear, actionable steps toward enrollment in a trial that's right for you.
